Unless you've been to camp, it's impossible to explain the full impact it can have on your life. Camp is a place where you're totally free to be yourself; a place of acceptance; a place where being a kid is your job; and most importantly, a place that forces you to stop and appreciate 'moments' - moments I had previously gone my whole life missing out on. Moments you find yourself dancing on tables, star gazing, singing at the top of your lungs, running through thunder storms, covering yourself head to toe in paint, of bonfires and sunsets and jumping in lakes - moments you look around and laugh because life is bliss and most people spend theirs missing its beauty.

In 2016 I flew thousands of miles across the world to a place I would soon call my second home.
Camp Burgess and Hayward, situated in a little town called Sandwhich on beautiful Cape Cod, MA, is the most magical place I have ever been (and yes... I have been to Disneyland). Although I knew working at camp would be an amazing way to spend my summer, nothing could prepare me for the adventure ahead. Little did I know this place would change my life. I left that first summer filled with confidence, positivity and inspiration; knowing exactly the type of person I wanted to be when I got home. I have now recently returned from my 2nd summer at BH and, once again blown away by my time at camp, there is nothing I want more than to help others have the same experiences.

As an international Business student at the University of Strathclyde, I was recently given the opportunity to start my own blog, and as someone who uses every opportunity to drone on about how she spends her summers, what better topic to base my blog on than camp.

So here I am, doing what I do best; talking about camp. (I can already see my friends rolling their eyes)
